The Aviation White Paper, sustainable aviation, emerging technologies and improving your golf swing all feature as key issues in the program for the Regional Aviation Association of Australia Convention 2024, released today.
The initial RAAA Convention 2024 program session will feature opening remarks from Australian Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, the Hon Catherine King, MP, followed by an update on the Aviation White Paper from the Department.
Further sessions across the two-day conference program will cover increasingly prominent issues and challenges, such as tomorrow’s regional aircraft, new technologies in the training of pilots and engineers, Advanced Air Mobility for regional aviation, and collaboration between Australian and South Pacific airlines.
With a golf day, a gala dinner, industry exhibition and networking functions, RAAA Convention 2024 promises to be the ideal mix of industry intelligence, advocacy and networking, over three days.
Delegates attending the opening reception will even be treated to a personal air display by Red Bull Air Race world champion and former Royal Australian Air Force fighter pilot Matt Hall.
“The regional aviation industry is a community that is serious about business, but also just passionate about aviation and about supporting the people that keep the industry growing,” said RAAA CEO Steve Campbell.
“There is so much change happening now across the whole industry, from technologies to regulation and the perennial issues of engineer training and airport access.
"The 2024 Convention will concentrate the best minds of the regional aviation industry to work through these issues, in a setting that will also remind us of why we are passionate about this industry.”
